The growth of malignant tumors requires the formation of new microvessels, and the quantitative determination of microvessels is difficult. The authors aim to establish an effective technique to measure the formation of blood vessels and evaluate whether the amount of these microvessels can predict the aggressiveness of tumors in ovarian cancer patients. By measuring the area of the endothelium, 28 cases of stage Ⅲ_c ovarian cancer patients with immunohistochemical staining of microvessel density was quantified. The computerized image analysis system was used to measure the endothelial area of the sub-epithelial stroma with the most dense blood vessels. The two groups of patients with the same stage of treatment and the same treatment as those who survived more than 6 years and died within 6 years
