四优四号(威41×古154)是近年来新选育的一个抗病虫力较强的杂优组合。1977年以前在不少点试种中表现结实率中等、具有高产的优势。1978年在全省作连晚扩大试种,并同时进行制种繁殖种子工作,结果抽穗后普遍发生“翘穗头”,结实率很低,单产显著下降,有的仅两三百斤一亩。据我院几个试验共37个处理统计,其平均结实率不到60%,37个处理中结实率在70%以上的仅5个,约占13.5%。空秕百分率高的达到59.3%(见表1)但据了 Four excellent four (Granville 41 × 154) is a new selection in recent years, a strong resistance to pests and diseases heterosis combination.
