一、成苗间苗的意义培育出针叶成苗一般要经过2—4年的时间。要经过种子处理、播种、田间管理、病虫害防治、苗木越冬、换床、灌水等精心管理,才能使苗木形态指标达到技术规程标准。在这过程中,往往由于起苗后的管理不善,根系失水过多,使合格的苗木毁于一旦。因而,为改革工艺、减少根系水分散失,保持苗木旺盛生命力,可把选苗工序放在床上生长阶段进行。这样做,一是便于留优去劣;二可减少选苗工序;三能降低苗木密度,提高苗木质量;四可提高经济效益。
