【摘要】古希腊和古罗马是现代西方文明的重要发源地。而作为古希腊和古罗马文化的一部分，古希腊医学对后世西方医学的发展也产生了重大的影响。本文通过分析希腊罗马神话故事在英语词根、前缀、后缀以及典故方面和希腊语、拉丁语之间的关系，总结其中的规律，并探讨教学中如何应用希腊罗马神话激发学生的学习兴趣，进而提高医学英语词汇教学质量。

【Abstract】Ancient Greece and ancient Rome is the fundamental birthplace of modern Western civilization. As a part of the ancient Greek and Roman culture， ancient Greek medicine has a significant impact on the development of modern western medicine. This paper analyzes the relationship between Greek and Roman mythology in terms of English roots， prefixes， suffixes and idioms as well as the connections with Greek and Latin in order to discover the rules.
