INTRODUCTION Molding method using water-soluble organic polymer as a binder is a method which can achieve benefits in the following aspects: (1) to improve the working environment; (2) to reduce the dressing work after casting; (3) Lower material costs and more. This practical method is currently under study. Until now, there have been studies on self-hardening molds based on a binder of an aqueous polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) solution, and the results thereof have been reported.
