Tumor development is a complex process involving multiple genes and multi-stage cumulative carcinogenesis. Among them, the abnormality of tumor suppressor gene plays an important role in tumor development. These include allelic deletions, mutations, insertions and chromosomal rearrangements of tumor suppressor genes. Deletion of colorectal carcinoma gene (DCC gene) is the largest tumor suppressor gene discovered to date, and its dysfunction is related to the occurrence of many tumors. The current research progress of DCC gene is summarized as follows.
