通过野外采集和室内饲养的方法,对枣掌铁甲的生物学特性,包括其寄主植物、潜道特征、各虫态特征及其生活史进行了系统研究。结果表明:枣掌铁甲在江西省井冈山地区1a发生1代,以幼虫潜食鼠李科枳椇叶片,老熟幼虫在叶脉处形成U型蛹室准备化蛹;枣掌铁甲形成不规则斑块状潜道,严重影响叶片的光合作用。该研究可为枣掌铁甲的预报和防治提供理论基础。
