This paper introduces the structural design and characteristics of 591 refrigeration compressor mechanical seal as well as the sealing performance test and industrial operation results. This seal is designed for the characteristics and requirements of the shaft seal of a refrigeration compressor for ships, but it can also be used in a domestic refrigerator.
