2015年12月17日,第二批全国重点美术馆授牌仪式在北京举行,文化部向浙江美术馆、广州艺术博物院(广州美术馆)、武汉美术馆、中国美术学院美术馆颁发“国家重点美术馆”标牌。同时,2011年评定的9家首批国家重点美术馆(包括中国美术馆、中华艺术宫〔上海美术馆〕、江苏省美术馆、广东美术馆、陕西省美术博物馆、湖北美术馆、深圳市关山月美术馆、北京画院美术馆、中央美术学院美术馆)也在本次评估中顺利通过复审。至此,“国家重点美术馆”的阵容扩充到13家。
