It has been reported that many infrequent events in infancy and childhood are associated with cancer. In an unexpected study from 33 children in a nationwide cohort study born in April 1970, the researchers found that cancer at age 10 was associated with vitamin K at birth. Golding and his collaborators who discovered the relationship between vitamin K and childhood cancer report the results of their in-depth research in this issue of BMJ.
