The registration of crop varieties in the Federal Republic of Germany is handled by the National Register of Varieties. The Federal Register of German Species was established in 1953 and belongs to the Ministry of Agriculture. It has offices, agricultural offices and horticultural offices. There are 5 pilot stations throughout the country. It is based on the Federal Republic of Germany “Seed Law” and “Variety Protection Act” to work. The “seed law” of the Federal Republic of Germany is mainly intended to protect the interests of seed users. For example, it is stipulated that only the nationally registered varieties permit the production, operation and sale to the users. The Federal Republic of Germany’s “Variety Protection Law” is mainly intended to protect the interests of breeders. By legally giving protection to the breeders’ breeds, it is possible to recover the cost of breeding through the sale of seeds.
