新时期中国电影已进入影像美学阶段,在我看来,《老井》是一部较为典型的影像美学电影。这里,就《老井》的四组意象群加以简要的分析。影像美学电影有其独创的地方,首先表现在意象的创造,人物的模糊性格,自然的形象化和倾向化等。自然和自然物在艺术家的手中也成了活生生的有血有肉的形象象征物。《老井》中苍凉险峻的石山、干枯的老井、蜿蜒曲折、尘土飞扬的小路,厚重贫瘠的黄土等等构成了第一组意象群。它们常常以一种敌对的力量出现,吞噬并威胁着倔强而可怜的老井村民。影片一开始便凸现出一眼对着观众的老井,导演这里颇有用心地
