塞缪尔·泰勒·柯尔律治(Samuel Taylor Coleridge,1772—1834),19世纪初英国大诗人、大思想家、大文学评论和理论家:所以称大,是因为独创性贡献巨大,对同时代和后代影响重大。《老水手行》、《克丽斯德蓓》和《忽必烈汗》,是柯尔律治的诗歌代表作,也是他那个时代留传至今,而且有理由断言,还会留传久远的不朽杰作,不读,就不足以充分认识柯尔律治,也就无从全面了解作为整体的英国浪漫主义文学潮流。
