伦西斯·利克特(Rensis Likert,1903—1981)出生于美国怀俄明州的夏延(Cheyenne),是美国现代行为科学家,曾于美国密执安大学获得文学学士学位,于哥伦比亚大学获得理学博士学位。他是在领导学和组织行为学领域卓有影响的密执安大学社会研究所的创始人和首任领导者,其对管理思想发展的主要贡献是领导理论、激励理论和组织理论等方面。他的主要著作包括《管理的新模式》(1961)、《人群组织:它的管理及价值》(1967)以及《管理冲突的新途径》(1976与人合作)等。
Rensis Likert (1903-1981) Born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA, is a modern American behavioral scientist with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan and a PhD degree from Columbia University Bachelor of Science. He is the founder and first leader of the Michigan Institute for Social Studies influential in Leadership and Organizational Behavior, and his major contributions to the development of management thinking are leadership theory, motivation theory and organizational theory. His major publications include “The New Model of Management” (1961), “The Crowd: Its Management and Value” (1967) and “A New Approach to Managing Conflicts” (1976).
