《新美术》出校庆专栏,约我写稿,正值我院教师职务评审工作结束。我参与此工作多年,感触不少,正欲一诉为快。虽然此中甘苦有言词所难以形容者,但这毕竟是学校的一件大事,而且关系到教师的切身利益。笔者在文中显现的畏难情绪,或与校庆主题不太协调,还望得到谅解。教师职务评审是项师资队伍建设的工作,求得各专业师资有个合理结构,也促进教师增强竞争意识,提高教学质量、科研水平。然而这项工作近十年来,有关职改领导部门也觉得有利有弊。具体政策细则不断变化,各地各类职务系列的评审工作也是因地制宜,摸着石头过河。知识分子集中的各校领导对此无不持谨慎态度。设岗定额、评委组成、评审对象、能否破格、何时评审、何时公布等等,均需一一上报批准。学历、年限、外语尽管有灵活的具体规定,对教师总是
