随着数据通信业务的不断增加,通信信道日益紧张。在这种情况下,如果数据传输使用电话线路,则须牺牲话音通信,使话音通信能力更加不足。倘若采取竞争应用,即话音和数据谁先竞争到信道,谁就先使用,这不但要使话音阻塞率增加,还会延长数据传输的等待时间。如果同时在同一话路上既通话音又传数据,就能有效地提高现有信道的利用率,收到一举两得的效果。为使话音、数据传输共享同一信道,可以采取分频分路的方式,即在电话频段中拿
