Transpiration is an important physiological process in plant water metabolism. It is the driving force behind passive water absorption by plants and has been extensively studied in recent 100 years. Over the years, although domestic scholars have done a lot of research on the transpiration of some major drought-tolerant species, the work done in combination with the semi-arid habitat of the Loess Plateau is less. In order to understand the internal factors that these species depend on to survive in the arid, low groundwater environment, which provides the basis for afforestation in the semi-arid mountainous area of Lanzhou.
