现在报业面临来自多方面的挑战。我们把同质媒体、广电媒体、域外媒体的挑战分别称之为“争夺式”、“挤压式”、“渗透式”的挑战,而把新媒体的挑战称之为“颠覆式”的挑战。这不仅表现在新媒体对传统媒体受众和市场份额的蚕食、鲸吞,更重要的是它带来了完全不同于以往的传播理念和运作方式,甚至完全改写了传媒业的游戏规则、发展格局与生态环境:
The newspaper industry now faces many challenges. We call the challenges of homogenous media, radio and television media, and foreign media separately as the challenge of “contention type”, “squeeze type”, and “infiltration type”, and call the challenge of new media “Subversive ” challenge. This is not only manifested in the new media’s erode and whacking of traditional media audiences and market shares, but more importantly, it has brought about a completely different communication concept and mode of operation from the past and even completely rewritten the game rules and development patterns of the media industry ecosystem:
