“京腔”,是明代南戏弋阳腔流入北京后衍变的一个支派。明嘉靖三十八年(1559)徐渭在《南词叙录》中即说:“今唱家称弋阳腔,则出于江西,两京(南京、北京)、湖南、闽、广用之。”再据沈德符(1578—1642)的《野获编》补遗卷一云:“至今上(万历朱翊钧1573—1620)始设诸剧于玉熙宫以习外戏,如弋阳、海盐、昆山诸家俱有之。”说明弋阳腔在万历间已列为宫中大戏了。弋腔是弋阳腔的简称,俗又称高腔,因它不同于昆腔之清柔宛转,无管弦伴奏,只是一唱众和,加以金鼓交织,声调高亢故名。清李调元《剧话》(成书约在乾隆四十年1775
