We disagree with the argument that “writing” interesting “essay in primary school is more important than writing” meaningful “essay.” In our opinion, writing is not meaningful. We have had many years of essay experiments. In the early days of the experiment, we also wanted students to write more things that they considered interesting to conform to the nature of children and stimulate their interest in writing. As a result, students wrote “interesting” things such as: Two classmates playing on the beach by the sea, whim, want to dig a big hole in the beach to the whole people.
