我省在貫徹中央衛生工作總方針“頂防為主”、“面向工農兵”、“團結中西醫”、“衛生工作舆群衆運動相結合”的精神下,自五月份以來各專區都有不少的縣份根據當地具體情况,先後召開了縣的或區的中、西、草醫代表會或衛生醫務工作人員代表會、座談會,自七月初旬雲南日報發表了“廣泛動員民間醫藥力量,團結中西醫、獸醫,加强衛生工作,幫助農民抵抗疫病”專論後,已普遍引超各級衛生行政部門注意,進而行動起來了。未召開過代表會的地區也都準備或正在進行這項工作。截至目前所得材料,已有五十六縣和一個市(箇舊市)舉行了這種代表會讓。這些代表會或座談會由於掌握了民間醫藥的特點和解决了一些具體問師,且能緊密地結合當前農村中壓倒一切的中心任務,圍繞生產進行,會後並組織了衛協機構,更深入發掘潛在力量,積極带動落後,分區負責,保護了勞動力,减少了疾病,因而都受到群衆的歡迎和擁護。同時也大大提高了中、西、軍醫的積極性,加强了經營信心。在團結各種民間醫藥力量戰線上取得了一定成績。如思茅縣在五月八日至十日召開了以草醫為主的全縣醫務衛生工作
