Not long ago, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security released the “Trial Measures on Collective Wages Consultation.” In the future, all the enterprises in China's territory will adopt collective wage negotiations and sign wage agreements. Collective wage consultation means that employee representatives and business representatives conduct equal consultation on the internal wage distribution system, form and income level within the enterprise in accordance with the law and sign a wage agreement on the basis of consensus. The conclusion of a collective contract, the wage agreement and collective contracts have the same effect. The wage agreement has the same binding effect on enterprises and employees, and neither party may change or dissolve the wage agreement without authorization. The Measures stipulate that collective wage negotiations generally include the duration of wage agreements and wages
