消费文化是现代社会经济、文化发展的产物。它基于消费的智慧经验的积累,是存在于经济社会的对文化的一种思考。设计于消费经济而言,其作用是双方面的——满足基本需求和引导高层需求。消费文化与设计是相互影响的,并且形成一种互利互生的关系。消费文化一定程度上制约设计的自由性,但同时也提供了具时代特色的趋势导向;设计在为消费服务的同时也在引导消费,并将实践的经验注入了消费文化的发展历程。
Consumption culture is the product of the economic and cultural development of modern society. It is based on the accumulation of the wisdom of consumption, is a reflection of culture in the economic society. Designed for the consumer economy, its role is twofold - to meet basic needs and guide high-level needs. Consumer culture and design interact with each other and form a mutually beneficial relationship. Consumer culture restricts the freedom of design to some extent, but at the same time it also provides the trend-oriented with the characteristics of the times. It also guides consumption while serving for consumption and injects practical experience into the development of consumer culture.
