许多大型货物由采用可拆卸的转向支承装置(TRY)的跨装连挂车辆运输。在铁路平车上装运、加固这类货物时主要采用全苏铁路运输科学研究院的TKY。它的工作原理是可将车辆碰撞时产生的动能变成势能。这种TKY大大降低了平车柱插的载荷。但是它们还有不足之处。有的TKY货物纵向振动与惯性的减振机构,包括装在固定底座上的与凸起的成型导板相互作用的滚动体(滚子),货物在惯性力作用下产生振动,容易离开稳定(初始)位置,因为滚子对货物的减振速度影响轻微。这就降低了货物在跨装车组正常运行时的稳定性。还有的TRY制造起来很复杂,并要消耗很多金属。
