The article criticizes so_called “Three stages ” theory in the research of the history of relationship between human being and nature: harmony and balance-conflict and imbalance-harmony and balance. Authors think that in the early period of human history the relation between mankind and nature is not harmonious. For a long time mankind extorted the source of income from nature in the hard struggle for life. The article suggests that scholars should adopt the ancients’ angle of view to observe the relation between human being and nature, then to analyze and evaluate it upon today’s criteria. Authors think it is the method of historicism school.
