从1958年起,上级确定中华书局以整理出版中国古籍为主要任务,然其内部设立有近代史编辑室(组)。这个室几十年来出版了众多上自清代下至民国时期的史料和研究著作图书。李侃同志长期主持或分管这个部门,作了大量工作,有重要的贡献。现仅就李侃同志与几部近代史书的编辑出版情况
