The Scientific Outlook on Development Adhering to the principle of people-oriented and overall coordination and sustainable development is in full accord with the objective pursued by the socialist harmonious society. Development is the prerequisite for harmony. Harmony is the guarantee of development. Both promote each other and are internally united. A harmonious society is the value pursuit of the scientific concept of development. The construction of a harmonious society should be guided by the scientific concept of development.
