曹禺亲眼目睹自己的剧作化为舞台形象固然高兴,但遗憾的是各个剧团的演出全都没有“序幕”和“尾声”。他对删去这两场戏深感痛惜,一再阐述“序幕”和“尾声”的用意,强调其诗化价值和不可或缺性,并流露出自己难以割舍之情。显然,他非常重视这两场戏。
It is a pity that Cao Yu himself witnessed the transformation of his play into a stage image, but unfortunately all the troupes performed without “Prologue” and “End”. He deeply deplored the deletion of these two scenes and repeatedly elaborated on the intention of “Prologue ” and “Endings ”, emphasizing his poetic value and indispensability, and showing his hard-to-break feelings. Obviously, he attaches great importance to these two scenes.
