夫妻关系既是一种伦理关系,又是一种法律关系。作为夫妻伦理规范的道德和法是衡量、评价和辨别夫妻关系和行为中善恶、美丑、曲直的准则。现代夫妻伦理规范从1950年婚姻法颁布开始,以婚姻自由、男女平等、一夫一妻为标志;后经历了1980年婚姻法的颁布及其修正,增加规定了夫妻相互忠实、禁止重婚、禁止家庭暴力等符合时代要求和时代特点的夫妻伦理内容。自新中国成立近60年来,夫妻伦理的规范变化,对修正不同时期婚姻领域出现的有悖于道德与法律的不和谐音符,保证婚姻家庭朝和谐方向的迈进起到了很好的规范作用,对创建民主文明的夫妻关系开了先河。
