武钢大冶铁矿有一座 HGT-5型铸钢电弧炉,投产于1970年,多年来,无除尘系统。1983年,根据外单位经验,自己改制,安装一套铸钢电弧炉消烟除尘系统,经近四年的实际运行证明,其除尘效率达到95.3～97.4%,大大改善了现场操作环境和厂房周围居民的生活环境,同时,炼钢噪声也有降低,得到黄石市、武钢公司环保部门的认可。
