An anti-ship missile is a missile that is launched from an air, surface, underwater or shore-based platform and used to attack enemy surface ships. Since the advent of anti-ship missiles, it has played an important role in naval battles many times. During the third Middle East war in 1967, Egypt sank one of Israel’s merchant ships with two “Styx” anti-ship missiles and sunk Israel’s “Eilat” with four “Styx” anti-ship missiles Destroyer. During the Indo-Pakistan war in 1971, India sank Pakistani “Kebaru” destroyers with “Styx” missiles and wounded “Badr” destroyers. In 1987, Iraq hit the US “Stark” frigate with two “flying fish” anti-ship missiles. All these actual combat shows that the anti-ship missile is a weapon of very high cost-effectiveness. One to two missiles with a price of $ 4-50000000 can lose or even sink a large naval vessel worth 1.2 billion U.S. dollars.
