INTRODUCTION One of the main oil layers in the Oregon Basin is a carbonate reservoir with fractures developed in the lower and upper layers than in the upper and higher porosity. The open-hole logs in the infill wells show that the lower part of the interval is more depleted than the upper part and the oil saturation in the lower part is very low. The reason for the large difference in the degree of depletion is that there is a large difference in longitudinal permeability of the oil layer and the water flooding is inefficient. Rock physics within the interval
