用透射电镜观察脑梗塞边缘星形细胞超微结构动态改变,大脑中动脉闭塞(MCAO)后2小时星形细胞间隙首先出现水肿。6~12小时微血管周星形细胞突起肿大。1天,微血管周间隙增宽,星形细胞突起肿胀愈来愈严重。3天,星形细胞内细胞器成碎片。5~7天,星形细胞线粒体渐增多、肿大。在MCAO后肿大的星形细胞多出现在变形的微血管旁,有单核细胞浸润的脑组织和坏死的神经细胞区,星形细胞中溶酶体增多,其相邻的神经细胞溶酶体也多。说明星形细胞在缺血性脑水肿中起着一种保护作用,其增生肿大,接近变形的微血管和频临坏死的神经细胞,目的是保护他们不再受损害。
