女儿名字中有一个“洁”字,她供职于一家涉外机构,与外国友人交往中免不了互通信函,作为家长,在女儿不便的时候,多次代为走邮局提取挂号邮件。虽然简化汉字在国内盛行了几十年,但国外仍沿用繁体字书写,尤其是日本人写汉字几乎全是繁体字。于是“潔”与身份证上的“洁”招来了麻烦:“怎么名字不一样的?”一位服务小姐提出质疑。我立即向她说明“潔”是“洁”的繁体
She has a “clean” character in her daughter's name. She works in a foreign-related institution and exchanges letters with foreign friends are inevitable. As a parent, her daughter picks up her registered mail on several occasions when her daughter is inconvenienced. Although simplified Chinese characters have been popular in China for several decades, they are still written in traditional Chinese. In particular, Japanese write Chinese characters almost entirely in traditional Chinese characters. So “clean” and identity card “Jie” brought trouble: “how the name is not the same?” A hostess questioned. I immediately explained to her that “cleanliness” is the essence of “cleanliness.”
