Japan is a world famous earthquake country. In Europe and the United States, the majority of those who have not even experienced an earthquake in their lifetime are extremely rare, while those in Japan are extremely rare. Not to mention examples of the Kanto Earthquake (99,331 deaths in September 1923) and the Fukui Earthquake (3,895 deaths in June 1948), which have been threatened by earthquakes since ancient times. In 1965, the world took the lead in beginning to include earthquake prediction studies in its national plan. Its purpose is to predict the occurrence of earthquakes anyway without any earthquake disasters. Trench-type earthquakes and inland-going earthquakes Since the earthquake prediction is to be carried out, we must first understand the original nature of the earthquake.
