教育是面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来的事业。教育事业的发展,实现教育的现代化,振兴教育的希望在教师。小学教育是国民教育的基石,是人才培养的摇篮,高素质的国民源于基础教育。而教师是培养人才的人才,小学教师更是人才奠基阶段的引导者,其自身的素质高低将直接影响一个国家现代化建设的进程。因此,提高小学教师专业素质,对提升基础教育质量,促进基础教育的发展,适应当前教育改革的需要,有着极为重要的意义。
