In this work, the thermal design of two design schemes of the experimental reactor fast reactor in our country are respectively carried out. One of the solutions is to use the method of cooling the top of the pile. Given the temperature of the lower surface of the top of the pile, the two-dimensional velocity and temperature fields of the argon space above the sodium pool were calculated. The heat transferred to the top of the pile takes into account radiation heat transfer, convection heat transfer and mass transfer heat transfer.
