宫岛大八(1867—1943)是近代日本汉语教育史上著名的汉语教育家,一生致力于汉语教育事业,创立了善邻书院,并引领了近代日本汉语及汉学的教育事业,所编撰的初级汉语教材《急就篇》成为近代日本最畅销的汉语教科书。无论是在创建汉语教育机构方面,还是在编撰汉语教材方面,宫岛大八都为近代日本汉语教育事业的巩固与发展做出了很大的贡献。可以说,他是现代日本学校汉语教育的卓越开拓者。
Miyajima Daichi (1867-1943), a famous Chinese educator in the history of modern Japanese Chinese education, devoted himself to teaching Chinese in his life. He founded the Good Neighbor College and led the educational activities of modern Japanese and Sinology in Japan. Chinese teaching material “anxious articles” became the best-selling Japanese textbooks in modern Japan. No matter in creating Chinese education institutions or in compiling Chinese teaching materials, Miyajima has made great contributions to the consolidation and development of modern Japanese Chinese education. It can be said that he is an excellent pioneer of Chinese education in modern Japanese schools.
