本文尝试以中联电影企业有限公司几部改编自现代中国和西方文学经典的影片为研究对象,探讨早期粤语电影的跨文化改编现象及承传自“五四”以降的左翼精英心态。“中联”的电影理想实践在在显示其在“冷战”和殖民地香港环境下的文化包容,“中联”电影吸纳中西方文化经典,调和“五四”传统的政治理想,同时又包容民国以降的“鸳鸯蝴蝶派”通俗言情小说,以男女私情透露家国人生困境,以类近“通俗剧”的电影叙事凸显个人在情感和思想上遭受固有的社会或历史制约下变得孤独无援。“中联”挪移并转化中西文化资源,企图提升粤语方言电影的文化地位,其中作做出的成就和妥协,本文希望做一初步的探索。
This article tries to explore the cross-cultural adaptation of early Cantonese films and the mentality of left-wing elites inherited from the May Fourth Movement by taking a series of films adapted from modern China and Western literary classics by Zoomlion Film Enterprises Limited.
