After long-term clinical trials, TCM has reliable therapeutic effects and provides an excellent library of active compounds for the development of new drugs. It has been gradually attracting worldwide attention. Traditional Chinese medicines usually contain hundreds of chemicals, but only a few of them have pharmacological effects. The presence of most of the remaining ingredients makes it very difficult to analyze and screen the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicines. Therefore, to explore strategies for the analysis and screening of traditional Chinese medicine active ingredients is a long-term concern in traditional Chinese medicine research, and cell membrane chromatography has become an effective method for studying the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine. This article will outline the principle, characteristics, application prospects of cell membrane chromatography and its possible problems in the study of traditional Chinese medicine. The role of cell membrane chromatography in the analysis and screening of active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine will become increasingly prominent.
