1996年,位于北京西城区阜成路上的万通市场以高档商城的形态开业。但是,由于定位不准,当时的经营业绩并不尽如人意。1998年上半年,周边小商品市场的兴旺、地理位置、消费群体等都促使万通市场管理层做出了由高档商城转型为小商品市场的决定。
In 1996, Vantone Market, located in Fucheng Road, Xicheng District, Beijing, opened with an upscale mall. However, due to the positioning is not allowed, then the operating performance is not satisfactory. In the first half of 1998, the prosperity of surrounding commodity markets, geographical location and consumer groups all prompted Wantong’s market management to make the decision to transform from a high-end mall to a commodity market.
