The present invention relates to the general technique of gyroscopes and, in particular, to improvements in biaxial gyroscopes as shown in detail in U.S. Patent No. 3,353,726. The gyroscope using the original flexible joint assembly described in the aforementioned U.S. patent specification is a small, non-floating, free-rotor displacement gyroscope that is particularly suitable for inertial platforms and other similar devices. It is the gyro rotor is connected to one end of the rotor drive shaft to form a unique friction-free flexible joints that support means. The role of the flexible joint is to transmit the positive rotation of the drive shaft to the rotor while allowing the rotor to be tilted about all of the horizontal axis at right angles to the axis of the drive shaft at the center of the joint.
