美国是个移民国家,于是常人印象中的美国自然应该是各类人齐聚一堂,各种言论与习惯相互碰撞与共存。而到了美国之后我感受到,这个社会同化性也极强。不同文化、肤色、信仰、取向的人们虽然纷纷发出自己的声音,但仍无可避免地被社会主流价值观影响,甚至同化。然而,一些深入骨髓的东西是没法被同化的。当从小看的书、说的话、遵守的习俗甚至喜欢的人都和身边大多数人不一样时,你纵使再努力融入主流,好像也与这个社会
The United States is an immigrant country. Therefore, the common people in the United States should naturally be all kinds of people gathered together, and various kinds of remarks and habits collide and coexist with each other. When I arrived in the United States, I felt that this social assimilation is also very strong.
