19??4年年底,我市对1963年以后从事会计工作的人员,进行了一次统考,近6,000人应试,及格率只有55%,有的行业只达到20%.可见目前不少企业的会计素质是不能令人满意的,在我市县属大集体以上单位的11,300多名会计人员当中,会计师不到1%,助理会计师只占6%,会计员也只有13.7%,没有职称的会计人员却占总人数的80%以上.在具有中级职称的财会人员中,绝大部分年龄偏大,从事繁忙的会计工作已明显地力不从心,当然,在没有取得职称的会计人员中,也有工作做得好的,但总的来说,素质不高,不仅难以发挥会计的职能作用,而且贻误管理,影响全局. 那么,如何适应新的形势,迅速提高企业会计素质呢?我们认为最重要的是多形式,多层次地发展会计教育事业,象抓经济工作那样抓好会计教育工作,培养更多的、合格的会计人才.
