对万州区5个典型烟草种植村的根茎病害进行调查。结果表明，2011年万州烟草根茎病害主要是黑胫病和青枯病，以黑胫劳的发病面积最大，发生程度最为严重。发病原因主要是土壤pH值过低、连作、田间管理粗放以及自然灾害等，从而提出相应防治措施，以供烟农参考。
