钙镁磷肥是南方红、黄壤酸性土壤分布地区最理想的磷肥品种之一。它与过磷酸钙不同,过磷酸钙是磷矿石粉与浓硫酸按一定比例制成的水溶性酸性肥料;钙镁磷肥却是磷矿石和蛇纹石(或橄榄石)等含镁矿物按一定比例、在高炉中经1300~1450℃高温熔融,然后加水骤冷,再经磨细而成的弱酸溶性的碱性肥料。成份与作用在成分上,过磷酸钙除含有五氧化二磷16~20%外,尚含有40%左右的硫酸钙。钙镁磷肥成分就复杂
