In this paper, the basic principle and coding technique of waveform interpolation speech analysis and synthesis method are described, and the actual structure of a 2.4kbps waveform interpolation vocoder is given.The vocoder utilizes the method of extracting the characteristic waveform and separating the voiced / unvoiced components , Effectively removing the redundancy of the pitch waveform in the residual signal and obtaining high quality synthesized speech at a data rate of 2.4 kbps.
