本文以美国巴尔的摩市公立学校为例介绍了汉语课程在美国公立学校系统中的设置与教学。文章列举了美国教育部门对外语课的要求及三种不同的汉语课程设置,同时还介绍了在这三种汉语课程设置中的教材使用情况和考试标准。最后讨论了目前美国公立学校汉语教学中存在的问题。
This article takes Baltimore public schools as examples to introduce the setting and teaching of Chinese courses in the American public school system. The article lists the requirements of the U.S. Department of Education for foreign language classes and three different Chinese language courses, as well as the usage of the teaching materials and the test standards in the three Chinese language courses. Finally, the existing problems in Chinese teaching of American public schools are discussed.
