随着2001年中国经济入世,加入国际WTO,另一个严峻的问题也相应提出:中国文化何时才能人世?才能纳入国际先进主流文化?任何一个稍具常识的人都知道,经济强国往往并非文化强国——反之亦然。经济人世与文化人世并不是同一概念。经济入世只是低层次上的初级人世,文化入世才是更永恒更高层次的人世(这也适用于一般人)。由于近代中国经济的落后,确实中国在科技与财富上比不过那些所谓的大国强国。但经济的落后,并不能抹杀中国文化的优势和独特性。换言之,这种貌似经济落后的差异,恰恰正是中西文化和思维方式的差别所致。西方人善
