勒菲弗尔提出的操纵理论是翻译研究文化派中的一种著名理论,处于翻译学科的前沿。作为中国当代文坛上独特的文学派别——“反思文学”的代表作之一,《芙蓉镇》由中国文学出版社和熊猫丛书编辑组选择翻译出版,是汉籍英译的一个特殊现象。本文将从译者操控的角度对其译本进行分析,描述性地分析该译本的特点及其形成的原因,从而找出译介中国特有文化的一种方法。
Lefevere’s manipulation theory is a well-known theory in the field of translation studies of culture and is at the forefront of translation studies. As one of the representative literary genres in China’s contemporary literary arena, one of the representative works of “Reflective Literature”, “Furong Town” is a special phenomenon of English translation of Chinese for the Chinese literary press and Panda series editors. This paper analyzes the translation from the perspective of the translator and analyzes the characteristics of the translation and the reasons for the translation, so as to find out a way to translate Chinese unique culture.
